About the project:
The project “Judo at the Iron Gates” aimed to improve social and sporting cooperation between Romania and Serbia. It strengthened cross-border sporting collaboration by bringing together Romanian and Serbian athletes for joint training camps and an international tournament. The initiative also provided new equipment and goods to support these activities. Beyond the athletic goals, the project fostered friendships and showcased the unifying power of sports and healthy living.

KEY OBJECTIVES
- Enhance social and sporting cooperation between Romania and Serbia.
- Increase joint approaches in the sports field.
- Strengthen cross-border relations between athletes and clubs from both countries.
- Provide judo clubs with modern equipment and goods.

THE PARTNERSHIP

KEY RESULTS
- The organisation of two week-long joint training camps in Romania and Serbia.
- A major international tournament held in Drobeta Turnu Severin, which attracted approximately 400 judokas from six different countries.
- The acquisition of essential new equipment, such as mats, kimonos, scoreboards, weighing machines, and transport vehicles.
- The development of strong friendships and the promotion of a healthy lifestyle among participants.
