The ROFRONT Association, which unites all Regional Offices for Cross-Border Cooperation (BRCTs) in Romania, successfully concluded its participation at the 23rd edition of the European Week of Regions and Cities (#EURegionsWeek) in Brussels, Belgium.
Organized by the European Commission (DG REGIO) and the European Committee of the Regions, the event is the most important annual forum dedicated to Cohesion Policy. From October 13 to 15, 2025, the European capital hosted over 200 sessions, bringing together 6,500 people—including policymakers, experts, project promoters, and citizens—all united under the theme “Shaping Tomorrow, Together.”
Celebrating two decades of cohesion
The ROFRONT exhibit, titled “One Borderless Vision: Celebrating 20 Years of of the EU’s eastern cooperation,” was a collaborative display coordinated by the entire team: BRCT Suceava, BRCT Timișoara, BRCT Oradea, BRCT Iași, and BRCT Călărași.
The stand served as an interactive exhibition dedicated to the history and extensive impact of cross-border cooperation. Through visual storytelling, interactive materials, and direct engagement, the exhibition successfully showcased how EU funds have transformed communities, built stronger economies, and reinforced solidarity along the Union’s external border—a perfect example of Cohesion and growth for the future.
We are immensely pleased to have had the opportunity to promote the impact of the last 20 years of cross-border cooperation at Romania’s borders, demonstrating that our vision for cohesion and regional development is stronger than ever.
The strong interest in the ROFRONT initiative was highlighted by the presence of distinguished guests who officially opened the dialogue at the Romanian stand:
- Mr. Cezar GROZAVU – President, ROFRONT Association
- Ms. Camelia COPORAN – Director General, Ministry of Development, Public Works and Administration (MDPWA)
- Mr. Carlos BOLAÑOS – Representative, Interreg TESIM NEXT
- Mr. Vasile ASANDEI – Director General, North-East Regional Development Agency (ADR NE)
Their addresses validated the essential, boots-on-the-ground work carried out by the BRCTs and underscored the critical role of territorial cooperation in regional development within the European Union.
Thank You!
The high level of engagement achieved in Brussels was a testament to the strong spirit of teamwork. The ROFRONT stand became a vibrant space for dialogue, demonstrating how the Romanian partnership contributes to a more united Europe that is actively “Shaping Tomorrow, Together.”
We extend our deepest gratitude to all colleagues from the BRCTs for their active involvement and dedication. The collaboration under the ROFRONT umbrella proves that our vision for cohesion is truly Borderless.
